Hey guys! It’s been really long since I’ve posted something and since I’m posting after so long, I wanted it to be something extremely different and special hahaha! So, just yesterday I had put up a poll on my Instagram, asking you guys what you’d like to see, for this week’s blog! And to my surprise most of y’all really loved the idea of ‘How to layer a basic kurta’, so here I am once again with another blog.

If you know me in person, you know how much of a ‘kurta’ person I am, and I feel like it is the most comfortable, versatile and stylish item of clothing, if worn correctly!
Print on print has been one of those trends that has never failed to allure me and that’s exactly what I’ve done for this ensemble right here! I’ve combined my favourite garment with my favourite trend and tadaaaa here you go!
So, if you live in India, or visit India and are a ‘kurta’ lover like me, Westside is the place you’re looking for. Westside is literally the best place for basic ethnic wear and it’s almost surprising how they never fail to be updated with all the new trends and collections, with the best prices. Westside, itself owns many brands and the Kurta I’m wearing for this specific look is from ‘Utsa’. The printed cobalt blue, cotton kurta, is a very casual piece and can be worn on a lazy day just when you want to chill haha!
Here, to create a more day appropriate and wearable look I chose to layer it up with a sky blue, floral print cape with tassels on the sleeves, from Zubiya which is a Delhi based brand! (you can go check out their stuff on Instagram too, they have the cutest things available).
I wanted to keep the whole vibe of the attire monochrome, thus lastly added a Kalamkari print, Prussian blue stole from a local market Hathipol, in Udaipur.

For the bottom, I went for basic distressed jeans, from Lulu and Sky, to give it an easy feel! For the accessories I wore oxidized Chandbali earrings from Colaba Causeway. On my hands I wore charm bracelets, which were sent to me by Snob box and the lastly my glasses from Cartier.
To complete the look, for the shoes, I chose to go with ochre Mules. I kept my make up very minimal and real in order to keep this a very subtle yet stylish.

This look, is a perfect example to explain my style, and according to me would look beautiful on anyone! It’s a very graceful yet relaxed look and can be worn for work or almost casual day event, to be comfy!

Do let me know what you think about this look in the comment section down below, and do not forget to send me pictures on my Instagram if you try to create this or any of my other looks, I’d be the happiest to see you guys look so gorgeous! If you found this helpful do not forget to like and share my blog! Until next time.
Love,
Sakshi Shah.
